General Questions
What exactly is a MyGift Visa Gift Card?
It is a prepaid Visa card loaded with a fixed dollar amount. You can spend it at millions of locations that accept Visa debit — both online and in physical stores across the United States.
How do I read the card number printed on my card?
Look at the front face of your card. The 16-digit account number runs horizontally across the center, either embossed or flat-printed depending on the card design.
The CVV on the back of my card is hidden — what do I do?
Many cards ship with the CVV concealed beneath a scratch-off strip for security. Use the edge of a coin to carefully remove the silver layer and reveal the 3-digit code underneath.
Can I trust this website with my card details?
Absolutely. Your connection is secured with industry-standard encryption. We transmit your information solely to perform the balance inquiry and discard it immediately after the result is delivered.
Balance & Transactions
Why is my balance reading as $0.00?
Three common reasons: the card was purchased but never activated at checkout, every dollar has already been used, or the expiration date has passed. Refer to your purchase receipt or contact the retailer where the card was bought.
Does a pending transaction affect my displayed balance?
Yes. Merchants sometimes place a temporary hold before the final charge posts. During that window, the held amount is subtracted from your available funds even though the transaction has not fully settled.
Can I reload funds onto my gift card?
MyGift Visa Gift Cards are non-reloadable. Once the original balance has been spent, the card cannot be topped up. You would need to purchase a new card.
Is there any cost associated with checking my balance here?
No — our balance lookup tool is entirely free to use, with no hidden fees or sign-up requirements.
Which card networks does this tool support?
We currently support balance inquiries for Visa and Mastercard branded gift cards. Cards on other networks should be checked through the issuer's dedicated website.
